BOOK WEEK 2024 – READ. CONNECT. INSPIRE
With the school year theme ‘Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Smart,’ Vinschool Metropolis Elementary School organized the 2024 Book Week event with the message ‘Read. Connect. Inspire.’ This event aims to encourage students to develop a passion for reading, while also creating opportunities for interaction, connection, and enhancing the students’ creativity.
CREATIVE WITH BOOKS
The ‘Creative with Books’ contest attracted enthusiastic participation from various classes, with 36 unique creative products. Each class collaborated to create special books under the theme ‘Be Safe. Be Kind. Be Smart’. These colorful books not only reflect the limitless creativity of the students but also the results of team collaboration, rich imagination, and skill in conveying meaningful stories and messages from the pages of the books.
RING THE GOLDEN BELL WITH BOOKS
The ‘Ring the Golden Bell’ finale, with the participation of 465 students from all grade levels, created a lively and dramatic competition atmosphere. The exciting and intense rounds brought many thrilling and suspenseful moments. The questions revolved around knowledge of authors, literary works, characters in the curriculum, and reading culture. After several challenging rounds, the competition honored the outstanding champions and the top three exemplary students.

GIVE BOOKS – SEND LOVE
The ‘Give Books, Send Love’ activity collected over 400 books, accompanied by messages of affection and good wishes to the recipients. The books not only carry educational value but also serve as meaningful gifts that demonstrate the care and sharing spirit of the students.
SHARING TEACHING EXPERIENCES
One of the special activities during the Book Week 2024 event was a session where teachers shared their teaching experiences with author Le Phuong Lien, who has written several works included in the Vietnamese language textbooks for 3rd and 5th grades. Through this exchange, teachers learned more about how to make their lessons engaging and how to inspire a love of books in their students.
