Book Fair for the 2024 – 2025 School Year: A Joyful Journey Through The Books

On November 15, 2024, Vinschool The Harmony Secondary and Highschool held the Book Fair for the 2024 – 2025 school year in an exciting and vibrant atmosphere, attracting enthusiastic participation from students. This was not just an event about books but also a source of creativity, a connection of passions, and a meaningful experience of reading culture.

A literary exhibition featured “The Adventures of a Cricket”, a literary wall: “From Vietnam to the world”, creative book cover designs by Vinsers, and beautifully crafted displays of outstanding books.

Literary Wall: From Vietnam to the World

Transform with books
Vinsers brought their favorite literary characters to life, from classic Vietnamese figures like Chí Phèo, Thị Nở, Mị, and A Phủ to Romeo and Juliet from the world-renowned playwright William Shakespeare. Carefully prepared costumes and confident performances amazed and impressed the audience. This activity allowed Vinsers to immerse themselves in iconic works, further igniting their love for literature.

Parent-Student Catwalk
The colorful fashion stage showcased unique costume performances by parents and students. Characters from books such as Tấm Cám, Thị Mầu, Xuân Tóc Đỏ, and Alice in Wonderland came to life through the talented performances of the participants. This activity not only brought book knowledge to life but also fostered family bonding and created unforgettable moments.

The Organizing Committee presented gifts and certificates to the classes participating in the Catwalk activity.

Ring the golden bell
The “Ring the golden bell” knowledge quiz saw enthusiastic participation from both parents and students. With questions covering various topics such as literature, mathematics, science, and history, it tested participants’ knowledge while bringing joy and excitement as Vinsers advanced through each challenging round.

Public Speaking Competition
The debate competition highlighted students’ understanding and passion for fascinating books. Participants presented compelling quotes and ideas to the judges and audience, inspiring a love for reading and identifying individuals who could effectively spread the reading culture among Vinsers.

Treasure Hunt Game
A challenging treasure hunt game required participants to use their intelligence and teamwork to solve riddles. Inspired by classic stories like Sherlock Holmes and the legend of Mị Châu – Trọng Thủy, the game offered exciting discoveries for the players.

Blind Date with Books
Books with hidden titles stirred curiosity and encouraged Vinsers to explore new stories. This innovative activity enhanced their reading culture in a novel way.

Quidditch Game
Inspired by the magical world of Harry Potter, the Quidditch game brought the school field to life with energetic competition. Players enjoyed the cheerful and creative environment.

Book Exchange Corner
At the book exchange corner, students traded in old books for coupons to acquire new ones from friends or meaningful gifts such as potted plants and school supplies. This activity not only promoted reading but also fostered sharing and environmental awareness among students.

Bookmark Making
Students creatively designed colorful bookmarks, adding a personal touch to their reading experience. This hands-on activity increased their enthusiasm for books while allowing them to express themselves.

Vendor Booths
Bookstores like Fahasa, Nhã Nam, and Tân Việt set up booths right on campus, offering a diverse selection of books and further promoting the culture of reading among participants.

Additionally, students enjoyed activities like screenings of literary adaptations, club-led booths with exciting games, and performances showcasing Vietnamese folklore.

The Book Fair for the 2024 – 2025 school year was not only an opportunity for students to explore and develop a love for reading culture but also a chance for Vinsers to learn, connect, and shine.
