Diverse Activities When Learning English with Children.
The diversity of activities in learning English brings many benefits to children, especially during the early stages of language acquisition. These varied activities spark student’s interest, develop comprehensive language skills, cater to different learning styles, improve memory, and give an avenue to apply the language.
Children in Bambi A1 had the opportunity to become familiar with the topic “Weather” through various activities. As a class, they all went outside to observe the weather in real-life settings to describe it accurately. Some kids said: “It’s sunny,” while others told their teachers: “It’s cloudy.”
The “Weather playdough mats” activity attracted the children’s attention, helping them reinforce the vocabulary related to the topic and develop fine motor skills.
For each type of weather, the children also had the chance to choose appropriate clothing in the activity “What kind of weather?”.
Activities related to real-life situations make it easier for children to connect words with contexts, helping them remember vocabulary and sentence structures effectively.
The children were very excited when using various materials to create pictures of their favorite weather during the activity “My favorite kind of weather”.
Overall, the variety of activities not only enriched the lessons but also contributed to the children’s holistic development, helping them to become more proficient in English while fostering confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning.
