Super Starters day 4 – Positive energy sources
What helps our little learners stay excited about learning and maintain energy for daily movement?
The answer was discovered by our Super Starters on Day 4 with the theme “Food – my source of energy.”
- Circle Time: Children checked in with their emotions, talked about familiar breakfast meals, and discovered something interesting—food is the source that provides energy for our bodies to learn and move every day.
- English: Students took on roles in a “farmers’ market corner,” enthusiastically practicing buying and selling conversations while confidently using polite expressions such as “… please” and “Thank you” in the right context.
- Physical Education: Through storytelling yoga, children connected body and mind by listening to a story while practicing holding 2–3 basic yoga poses for 3–5 seconds. This activity helped improve focus, body control, and relaxation.
- STEM & Project: Children observed seeds sprouting, drew changes over time, and completed the collage book page “My energy sources” by selecting and pasting at least three healthy foods.
Before wrapping up the day, the children checked in with their emotions again, reviewed the energy cycle, arranged picture cards in the correct order, and named one healthy food they committed to trying. This gentle yet meaningful moment helped them connect new knowledge with daily habits.
Homelink: Parents are encouraged to prepare a simple yet healthy breakfast with their child (such as egg sandwiches, milk, or fruit), talk about how food fuels learning and movement, encourage the child to try a new food, and share their feelings afterward.
A well-rounded learning day—where knowledge, skills, movement, and emotions come together naturally—helping each child better understand their body and develop a love for self-care every day.
