Discovering The Mystery Of Floating And Sinking – A Science Adventure With Our Little Vinsers?
“Why can a boat float on water?” – This simple question opened the door to an exciting learning journey for our curious little Vinsers from the Pooh class at Vinschool Smart City Kindergarten, as they explored the topic of “Floating and Sinking.”
? Sparking curiosity:
Using everyday materials like paper, playdough, leaves, and old newspapers, our little Vinsers excitedly crafted their own boats. When they placed their boats in water, the children watched with great excitement and made guesses: Will it float or sink? Through this playful activity, they naturally discovered more about the world around them in a fun and gentle way.
? Becoming little scientists:
When some of the boats sank, the children weren’t discouraged—they became even more curious! By observing closely, they realized that small boats made with heavy materials like playdough or dropped forcefully into the water were more likely to sink. So, they tried different ways—making larger boats, using lighter materials, and gently placing their boats in the water. With each new experiment, they learned that the size of the boat, the materials used, and the way it’s placed all affect whether it floats or sinks.
? Learning through play – helping children understand deeply and remember longer:
In a warm and open learning environment, our little Vinsers explored new knowledge through playful, hands-on activities. Every science lesson became a journey of discovery, where they could observe, experiment, and learn from their own experiences. Through these joyful moments, the children not only understood simple science concepts but also developed logical thinking, self-confidence, and a growing love for exploring the world.
