[Vinschool Future Ready] Grade 12 Vinsers receive comprehensive guidance amid changes in the 2025 national high school graduation & university admission exams

Monday, 17/02/2025, 16:02 (GMT+7)

Following the Ministry of Education and Training's (MOET) recent changes to the National High School Graduation Exam regulations in late December, Vinschool’s Academic Advisory Department has been implementing a comprehensive support strategy throughout January and February.

This initiative aims to help Grade 12 Vinsers build an optimal preparation plan, equipping them with confidence to excel in both the newly structured graduation exam and upcoming university admission process.

Outstanding achievements & ongoing efforts:

By the end of Semester 1, 52.3% of Grade 12 Vinsers obtained an IELTS certificate with an average score of 7.0; 69% achieved an SAT score of 1300+, with the highest score of 1560/1600; many Vinsers were accepted into top global universities with scholarships, including prestigious Ivy League institutions. As Semester 2 begins, Vinsers continue their journey toward their dream universities, navigating new challenges and opportunities. Vinschool remains committed to providing the best support to ensure every student moves forward with confidence.

Key Updates from MOET’s New Graduation Exam Regulations:

  • The exam consists of three sessions: Literature, Mathematics, and two elective subjects.
  • Foreign language certificates can still be used to waive the graduation exam but will no longer be converted into a perfect score (10/10).
  • The final graduation score will be calculated as 50% from school academic records and 50% from the graduation exam.

Vinschool’s comprehensive support strategies:

EARLY ORIENTATION: Vinschool’s academic advisors have been guiding students in selecting their graduation exam subjects since Grade 10 (2 years in advance), ensuring they are well-prepared for any changes. Advisors continue to support students in optimizing their study plans during this crucial final stage.

EXAM-ALIGNED TEACHING: Subject specialists deliver lessons and assessments tailored to MOET’s exam format and guidelines, helping students familiarize themselves with expected question types and requirements.

EXPOSURE TO COMPETENCY ASSESSMENTS: In collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vinschool provides TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment) mock exams for Grades 11 & 12, allowing students to practice and evaluate their own readiness.

PERSONALIZED 1-1 UNIVERSITY APPLICATION GUIDANCE: 100% of Grade 12 Vinsers and their parents receive personalized 1-1 consultations to stay updated on university admission trends. Students receive tailored admission strategies, ensuring they meet key milestones such as high school graduation, standardized tests (IELTS, SAT, AP, etc.), and early application deadlines.

Through timely and comprehensive academic advising, Vinschool empowers Vinsers to adapt to these changes and confidently conquer their next academic milestones.
