VINFORMATION 2024 – Nurturing Talented “Aspiring Writers”
VINFORMATION - the creative book competition based on social science knowledge, organized by Vinschool Ocean Park Secondary School - has officially concluded after 3 months of launching. It has named 6 teams with the most impressive works out of 168 teams from 30 secondary schools nationwide.
The competition offered secondary students the opportunity to bring the historical, geographical, and cultural knowledge of the country closer to readers, while also developing essential skills such as logical thinking, analysis, writing, language use, creativity, and information gathering.
️During the 3-month competition with two intense rounds, the teachers and mentors closely followed the progress of the products, providing feedback and evaluations to help students expand their perspectives on the publishing industry and deepen their understanding. Along with this, students were trained in the creative process and book production through two workshops: “The Journey of a Book” and “The Art of Book Editing,” led by speaker Nguyễn Chiều Xuân – CEO of LionBooks Vietnam and writer Nguyễn Hoàng Diệu Thủy – head of the editorial department at Nhã Nam.
️After carefully assessing the content quality of each book, VINFORMATION 2024 officially honored the 6 best teams:
– First Prize: Vinsers Vũ Uyển Như, Đào Duy Đức Anh, Nguyễn Phạm Bảo Ngân (Vinschool Ocean Park) – Work “The Goddesses in Vietnamese Folklore”
️- Second Prize: Lê Hoàng Minh Thư (Huế Specialized High School) – Work “Lotus Blooming on the Land”
– Third Prize:
+ Vinsers Hoàng Nguyễn Tuệ Sâm, Nguyễn Hà Vy, Nguyễn Hương Giang (Vinschool Imperia) – Work “Vietnam’s History through the Ages on a Keyboard”
+ Vinser Nguyễn Ngọc Nam Phương (Vinschool Central Park) – Work “Southern Dialect Dictionary through Short Stories.”
– Creativity Prize: Vinsers Trần Nhật Linh, Trần Bảo Hân, Nguyễn Bảo Anh (Vinschool Times City) – Work “Lý Chiêu Hoàng, Untold Story.”
– Impressive Prize: Vinsers Lê Hồng Ánh, Lê Khánh Linh (Vinschool Ocean Park) – Work “Savoring Hanoi”
