Vinschool The Harmony, Vinschool Times City & Vinschool Central Park become the first CIS accredited schools in Vietnam
Hanoi, June 7, 2022 – Vinschool The Harmony, Vinschool Times City and Vinschool Central Park, the three largest school clusters in the Vinschool Education System, have officially become the first Vietnamese schools to be accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). The achievement once again shows Vinschool Education System’s commitment to building a system of Vietnamese schools meeting international standards.
To become a CIS accredited school, Vinschool underwent an independent, rigorous and transparent evaluation process lasting for four consecutive years. The whole system has implemented profound and comprehensive reform in all departments. According to the CIS’s report, Vinschool not only meets, but also exceeds many standards in the CIS International Accreditation Framework.
Mr. Norm Dean, Director of CIS School Support and Evaluation Services said, “CIS highly appreciates the efforts and achievements Vinschool has achieved in developing generations of global citizens, and providing a seamless health and mental health care system for students.”
The accreditation team was also impressed with the school’s personalised curriculum, such as: more than 50 subjects for high school students; personal mentors for students; opportunities for students to do an internship at large companies before choosing their majors; GATE Centre’s personalised talent development program tailored to each student; individual community service projects under the Global Citizenship Education (GCED) program, etc.
CIS is the world’s leading independent educational accreditation organisation. Its institutional members include 1,340 schools and universities worldwide, only 494 among these members are currently accredited by CIS. Previously in Vietnam, there were 13 CIS accredited schools, all of them international schools. Vinschool is the first Vietnamese school to successfully be accredited by CIS.
The entire CIS accreditation process is strictly carried out based on CIS’s International Accreditation Evaluation Framework, which included eight domains with forty-five standards, covering most of the important aspects of a school. Many CIS inspectors evaluated the school’s core standards such as- the school’s educational orientation; control system and sustainable operating model; educational programs that meet the needs of 21st century learners; high-quality academic standards; learning environment promoting physical and mental well-being of students; HR policies; facilities meeting international standards and cooperation between family and school.
