Super Starters day 2 – A sensory adventure
Today’s lesson took our Super Starters on an exciting journey of discovery through their senses.
During Circle Time, the children identified the five senses, discussed the role of each sense, and practiced listening, smelling, touching, and feeling in their own unique ways. Fun and energetic activities in Physical Education helped students develop reflexes and coordination through movement games guided by sound and visual signals. In the English lesson, the children explored the “Mystery Sensory Box” and confidently described their feelings using sentence patterns such as “It feels…” and “It is…”.
The students were especially delighted to walk barefoot along the “Sensory Path” during the STEM & Project lesson. Through this activity, they learned to identify different material properties such as hard, soft, smooth, rough, and more. Once again, the sense of touch was awakened as the children chose materials to creatively design their page “The magic from our hands.”
Through this series of experiences, students not only gained a deeper understanding of the five senses but also nurtured language development, thinking skills, and confidence in expressing their own ideas.
