A wonderful 14-day summer camp in Singapore for students, focusing on fitness and technology

Tuesday, 15/07/2025, 19:07 (GMT+7)

Students aged 8-11 from the Vinschool-organized Singapore Camp 2025 have just returned from a memorable 14-day summer journey, filled with activities that combined physical training with the exploration of green technology in modern urban life.

A special focus of the camp was its wide variety of sports, organized by VivoKids Singapore, a renown local group that designs modern and effective exercise programs for children. The campers improved their physical fitness, stamina, and learned to work as a team through basketball, floorball, dragon boating, and teambuilding activities. On Pulau Ubin Island, students learned survival skills with practical lessons in first aid, handling situations, and adapting to nature.

Alongside sport activities, students were introduced to technology in a real-world setting. They learned about the clever water system at Marina Barrage, energy conservation at Gardens by the Bay, and took part in hands-on science and art activities at the Science Centre and ArtScience Museum. They had the chance to build their own balloon-powered cars, program robots, and create crafts. These activities were carefully planned to encourage logical thinking, improve problem-solving skills, and give them a clearer picture of how a modern city functions.
.
The schedule also included activities to help students form healthy habits, such as cooking classes, a workshop on nutrition, and creative sessions for making bracelets and tie-dyeing socks. Trips to Chinatown, Arab Street, and Universal Studios gave them a wonderful opportunity to learn about different cultures and see how Singapore’s traditions and modern life come together.

Ngoc Minh, one of the students, shared, “I had so much fun trying all the different sports and learning survival skills, like first aid and what to do in different situations on the island. The performances at the Science Centre were amazing to watch, and seeing the incredible modern buildings like the Sport Hub and the Flower Dome really opened my eyes to what a well-planned and sustainable city can be.”

With the guidance from dedicated Vinschool teachers and international experts, the 2025 Singapore Camp was more than just a collection of new and memorable experiences. It helped students build physical confidence and develop critical thinking as they prepare for their future.
