Vinschool (Vietnam) and International Leadership of Texas (USA) entered Partnership Agreement
On 29/9/2017, a partnership agreement signing ceremony was held for the Vinschool Education System (Vietnam) and the International Leadership of Texas – ILTexas (USA). The agreement focuses on professional enrichment programs, curriculum development, and teacher training. It also aims to promote collaboration and exchanges among teachers and students of the two countries.
With a vision of becoming a world-class Vietnamese education system, Vinschool has been working with prestigious partners to upgrade its curriculum and provide quality training programs to its teacher. Recognizing the common values and educational philosophy between the two schools, Ms. Phan Ha Thuy, CEO of the Vinschool Education System and Dr. Thomas Seaberry – Deputy Superintendent of International Leadership of Texas decided to sign a partnership agreement with an aim to create opportunities for curriculum and professional development and support as well as academic exchanges and collaborations for students and teachers of the two schools.
Curriculum and Professional Development
The two schools will work together in terms of professional development for both teachers and school administrators. ILTexas will also assist Vinschool to upgrade its current English as a Second Language (ESL) program and share its best practices in promoting extracurricular activities and community service projects.
In addition, ILTexas will support Vinschool’s initiative to start a school psychological center and a special education program following the American model at Vinschool. In return, Vinschool will help to develop a Vietnamese language program for ILTexas students. Both schools will also explore the possibility of offering ILTexas’ dual credit program for Vinschool students in Vietnam.
Student and Teacher Exchange
Vinschool students will have the opportunity to study at ILTexas during the Lunar New Year break (two weeks in February) and/or summer break (in June and July). At the same time, ILTexas students will be able to study at Vinschool in the summer (in July and August).
The two schools agree to create a network of teachers for peer support and professional development, allowing teachers to immerse themselves in true international education.
Study Abroad for Vinsers
As part of the agreement, ILTexas will consider special admission for Vinsers if they wish to apply to ILTexas. Moreover, both schools will work together to create a pathway for Vinschool students to enter American universities.
International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas) is a quality education system in the United States with 11 campuses and more than 16,000 students. ILTexas Private High School Garland – one of ILTexas schools – is ranked as one of the best high schools in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report. Key values of ILTexas include leadership and community service, as such each student at this school is required to complete 15 hours of community service every year.
