Vinschool implements the Cambridge International Bilingual programme

As part of our continuous goal to improve the quality of education and develop Vinschool into a world-class education system, Vinschool is officially implementing the Cambridge International Bilingual programme from grade 1 to grade 8 in the academic year 2017-2018.

The Cambridge Bilingual programme is a universal education curriculum for international learners from 5-19 years of age. The programme currently attracts 8 million students from 10.000 schools in 160 countries throughout the world. The programme’s strength is its international standardized content that aims to create global citizens with creativity, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong passion for learning.

At Vinschool, the programme is initially being implemented from grades 1-8, where a limited number of classes will be taught in conjunction with the general 5-in-1 comprehensive development programme.

In terms of content, the Cambridge programme will be an integration of the current Vinschool curriculum along with the subjects of math, science and English being conducted entirely in English and adhering to the Cambridge programme’s standards. All teachers within the Cambridge Bilingual programme will be accredited by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

With the Cambridge Baccalaureate accredited by world-renowned universities, the Cambridge International Bilingual programme will appeal to students whose ultimate goal is to study abroad. The programme will serve as a comprehensive English environment that will fully prepare students for the demands of life abroad, both during college life but also in their careers beyond school.

In order to receive the development license from Cambridge, Vinschool has undergone a rigorous accreditation process to demonstrate that the values and educational philosophy of Vinschool are in accordance with those of Cambridge. Vinschool has also prioritized investing in quality teachers to best ensure the highest quality of the programme. Equally important, the programme will be implemented directly under the supervision of Sean P. O’Maonaigh, a leading expert on international education with more than 30 years of experience as a head of IB and Cambridge high school programmes throughout the world. At Vinschool, Mr. O’Maonaigh will officially serve as our Cambridge Programme Director.

With a strong mandate to “nurture the talents” of Vietnamese students, the Vinschool Education Board, since its inception, has been consistently looking for reputable international partners to provide the best academic education programmes for our school system. Prior to being officially certified to implement the Cambridge Bilingual programme, Vinschool had already purchased and has been participating in renown student educational programmes such as “The Leader in Me” and “Raz-Kids”. Additionally, Vinschool is also the exclusive provider of the IPC (International Pre-School Curriculum) for our Vinschool Kindergarten students. Since our short but productive history, Vinschool has sought to steadily build a dynamic education programme addressing all of the varied needs of our students in order to best prepare them for their future lives as global citizens.
